Artist description
In the twilight, Trammel starts its journey. Trammel is a dynamic figure. A mixture of power, intelligence, and melody. They are Three. Derived from sonic creativity, delivered with audible clarity. Trammel will provide the musical experience Detroit has been waiting patiently for since The Who left Southfield High’s gymnasium.Drawing influence musically from Can to Clash and lyrically from Brian Wilson to McCartney, Trammel are truly confidant cynics in a world of post-artistry, and hope to leave their mark, if not their souls on the stage. Brian Comstock went to Thirsty Forest Animals show way back when. The next day was an awakening, as he no longer worshipped the Bible or even that girl in 3rd hour he never talked to, instead he plugged himself into a Vox via Delay and started saving for a Gretch. Today, Brian is the prime contributor of the melodic structure that is Trammel. His mellow-sweetened voice greatly enhances the vocal harmonies. He handles himself in nostalgic disillusionment both on stage and in the studio. He continues to prove that he is a creative and competent musician all the way around. He is an expert in composition, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Canton. Jeffrey Guzick is the percussionist founding member of Trammel. Since leaving Miss Bliss, his thirst for banging skins persisted. Fed only by his lust for creating a rhythm-bas(s)ed band, Jeffrey sought out his army to attack his drum. He is of a dying breed of percussionist, one who demands a driving force, a half Moon, and a leader. He is an indefatigable workaholic that brought Trammel together some 18 months ago. If he sleeps, he sleeps in a chair. What happens on stage is outside the ordinary anguish and concentration. Everything below is above. Craig Thornton’s bass is the band’s texture as much as its rhythm. His basslines are prominent in the mix, and can carry a melody like an offensive weapon. Jeff and Craig together create a rhythm section of harrowing power. Brought together by the sentiment that the pulse of bands were beginning to be lost, they took the blanket off the sky and shifted the meaning of a rhythm section back to its purpose. Craig is an abstract creator, a concrete analyst, and hopeless romantic.Say what you want, Trammel is out to radically redefine the banal rock scene that exists. Their actions refuse to corrupt itself. Their music conjures up eclectic texture, brilliant arrangement, yet profound intensity. Their message reminds us of our insecurities, loss, and the cozy danger we see in others. They are young practical jokers and thinkers. Melodramatic fuckers, and heroes. They have dazzling yet hidden, intensity. Trammel passes beyond simple entertainment to redescribe the bridge between the past and the present |
