Artist History
Subpop was born some time in the mid eighties, but only came to fruition when technology advanced to the point that computers could manipulate audio in the way they could manipulate pictures. So, when technology meet up with ambition, Subpop was spawned. The name was conceived on a drive home from "the real job". The music was created on a Compaq AP400 Professional Workstation, using a combination of samples blended into a smooth mix. From this snazzy and rather nifty start, we also branched out into producing the Skylab17 sound (it's very nifty) found over at www.mp3.com/skylab17 |
