    Artist description
At times his music is reminiscent of the likes of IQ, Genesis (before Steve Hackett left), Yes, Todd Rundgren, Frank Zappa ... but twisted through a strange process that only Jon could be responsible for. He has been recording since 1981 and apparently some of his stuff is worth listening to now. Jon plays guitar, bass and adds the vocals too, while spending the rest of the time persuading his computer that it is a fabulous drummer or keyboard virtuoso.

    Artist History
A brief history: Jon began working with Chuck Ferns and David Cook in 1980, murdering Led Zeppelin Classics and the like. He then joined Limit's Edge and did more or less the same thing! During this time he also did some session work with the Chuck Ferns Friendly Neighbourhood Eperience Makers. In 1985 he formed the Mad Dogs in a hurry and went on to play (against the odds)at some very successful concerts in and arround Glasgow. He says "we were a bit like early Pink Floyd and our most popular stuff seemed to be the things that went wrong". In 1986 Jon joined the heavily Rush influenced Drama, a fine bunch of musicians. Some people were interested in signing them, but they wanted Drama to become more commercial. Eventually the strain split them up. That Fish Thing was a hard working band that played almost every night in 1987, fell apart, came back together and fell apart again. Jon decided to go solo...apart from a brief spell in a small pub band in Sussex & an album of standard rock covers with Jeremy Jiminez, he has remained a solo performer ever since.
