Artist description
While living in the land of 10,000 chorales, CHRIS GENNAULA (b. 1964) has found that he loves to write for the voice. Locally he has had works premiered at the Basilica of Saint Mary as well as having works played as part of the Sonic Circuit Concerts. He completed his undergraduate musical training at the Eastman School of Music where his composition teachers included Joseph Schwanter, David Liptak, and Allan Schindler. While there he was awarded the Max Dreyfus Scholarship (via ASCAP) for his work in Musical Theater. He went on to graduate studies at the University of Illinois and studied with William Brooks and Scott Wyatt. Chris has also studied privately with Libby Larsen. He is a member of the American Composers Forum, ASCAP, and the Basilica of Saint Mary's cathedral and chamber choirs. |
