Artist description The Strauss Band was formed in 1998 when Gary Strauss started recording a solo CD with the help of long time friends Johnny Z & Wendell Hignite (both are accomplished songwriters and musicians). The trio worked so well together that they decided to make the recording a group project. Today the band performs at selected gigs, but their main focus is writing songs and recording. The Strauss Band is presently working on their second CD which should be completed in the fall of 2000
