Artist description
The Rainbyrds are a four-piece band based in London, England. We formed in the summer of 1999 after two of us (Audley and Sara)had left a previous group that had just been signed to a small independent record label. We write all our of our material ourselves. We have played a few gigs and are looking forward to appearing on Channel 4 in the Autumn of 2000, having been recently filmedat the 12 Bar Club, London. However most of the our energy thus far has been directed at recording. We have now produced an album length CD 'harperleevibration' that we think deserves a wider audience hence our sign-up to MP3.com. |

Artist History
As mentioned above the band formed in 1999. Audley and Sara quickly recruited a guitarist and keyboard player and have self-financed the first CD by the Rainbyrds. This we recorded at Skysounds studios in London (borrowing the drum kit from Simon Hanson of Death in Vegas along the way). We have just been approached by Channel 4 who have filmed us performing one of our songs (Promise) and this is due to be broadcast in November, 2000. Now that we have the CD the plans are to gig extensive in the autumn and to release a single by the end of the year (a choice between Stone Cold or You Can't Get What You Want. Whatever we choose the other song will probably be the second single early next year). |

Press Reviews
In my solo days I (Audley) got a supportive review from Sound on Sound for a demo I sent them containing songs the Rainbyrds now play. Their reviewer picked out Promise as his favourite (in the July 1998 issue). |
