Artist History Lev Zhurbin and Constantin Finehouse met each other during their freshman year of studies at The Juilliard School in New York. Since then, they have collaborated twice: once on a Brahms F-minor sonata in 1998, and another time on the Shostakovich, in 2000. In their encore performance of the Shostakovich (available here), the duo decided that some music should prelude the Shostakovich, so as to set the right mood. Having found no fitting music, they decided to improvise the prelude on the spot. Currently, the Duo is working on new repertoire, and organizing some concerts.
