Artist History
For nearly two decades, anyone who has followed the Charleston music scene should recognize one or all of the following bands: Stanley Louis, Off the Wall or Blue Million. All of these bands have been fronted by singer/songwriter Alan Griffith. Griffith teamed up with bassisit Gary Cash during the "Off the Wall" tenure. Desperate for a drummer in the early 90's, Griffith and Cash wasted no time hiring Andy Lewis. The trio experimented with other guitarists and even a fiddle player without finding a fit. That was until another Charleston singer/songwriter, Stephen Beckner, found his way back from Nashville to Charleston. Beckner had played in local cult favorite Go Van Gogh. Now a four piece, Blue Million has cumulative decades of experience. Their live shows are an eclectic mix of rock, blues, folk, and pop. |
