Artist History
The band (as it is today) formed in the month of the dead, October of "1998".
The guitarist, David Lyne has been playing all his life. David’s style is what one would consider Rock and Roll Metal Blues. David’s quiet stance and controlled powerful melodies add a level of sophistication to the overall sound of TUNG.
The Drummer, Steve Quimby learned his hard rock style when he was a young teenager. He returned for pro-level lessons later on and has been hammering out his sound ever since. Steve has remained a major driving force behind the rhythm section of TUNG since the band started.
The singer Leah Barrows has been singing for ten years since this bio was written sauntering sweet melodies and spine ripping yelling smoothed out with Tibetan chanting. Leah’s stage presence is definitely something to be observed. Dec 17, 2002 gave birth to her first child a baby girl.
The Bass player, Jay comes to TUNG after the break up of his last band Throwback.
His full energy on stage makes him Amazing.

Davids quiet stance and controlled powerful melodies add a level of sophistication to the overall sound of TUNG. The Drummer, Steve Quimby learned his hard rock style when he was a young teenager messing with his stepfather's drum kit. He returned for pro-level lessons later in life and has been hammering out his sound on and off in numerous bands ever since. The singer Leah Barrows has been singing for ten plus years sauntering sweet melodies, spine ripping roars, and smoothed out with Tibetan chanting. Leahs stage presence is definitely something to be observed. The Bass player, Jay plays twisted hard rock with full energy. In 2001 TUNG added management in the form of Pimp Daddy at Pete Rock Enterprises. |

Press Reviews
"Great Music & Beer: Was this heaven?" This past Friday night at the SafariLounge on Eddy St. in Downtown Providence had a night worth talking about. The beer was flowing and the pit was in overdrive. It was a strong 3 band show (missed 1st band), and took it to the 2am time limit. The crowd was equally charge to every musical style on display. The bands worked the crowd in the pit,and joined them often. TUNG was the first band I saw, and they lived up to all the talk of them. With Leah kicking the vocals, and making me wish I was in better shape so I could jump around as much as her. Damn girl, thanks alot. I gotta give her props for her energy and strong stage presents. Dave just all pimped out in his gear, still looking bad ass. My boy Steve just holding down the fort banging the sh*t out of his skins, and not letting the heat effect his skills. The biggest surprise too me was James the bassists. I was really impressed in his energy and what he put out on stage. You can compare him to Flea of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers without any doubt at all. No doubt TUNG hit the Safari Lounge with a Sonic Assault. Check this band out, don't be the last FOOL: http://www.tung.cc Pete (pimpdaddy) Rock
