Artist History Ryan H. Torchia is a byproduct of the San Francisco Bay Area. Between working at Apple Computer, the occasional short-film score, and performing with an avant-garde/noise ensemble known as The Gas Chamber Orchestra, he managed to earn a BA and MA in Electro-Acoustic Music from San Jose State University in 1993 and 1998 respectively. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Composition at the State University of New York at Buffalo, studying with Cort Lippe.
