Artist History
If you don't know who we are, we are RüE THE DAY out of Willamantic, CT. We play at bars all around UConn. Members of our band consist of Jim Wolf, Josh Perry, Jeff Sullivan, and Chris Lewis. Jim Wolf (rhythm guitar/vocal) had lived most of his life in Fairfield Connecticut and had moved to Willimantic in fall of 1998. He had met Scotty J at this time and had performed with him at restaurants and shows. They were formally known as Trippin' Jimand the half jew. In fall of 1999 Jim had met Josh and Jeff, thus together they formed rüe the day. Josh Perry(bassist) straight out of Coventry Connecticut, had been in two bands prior to rüe the day. He had known Jeff for years and went to E.C.S.U. and had met Jim and they had collaborated in their forming and performing. Jeff Sullivan(drummer)is from Tolland Connecticut and had been in two bands also prior to rüe the day. He continues to go to Hartford Conservatory School of Music where heis majoring in jazz and maintaining a drumming backbone for the band. The newest addition to the band was Chris Lewis (lead guitar), he had been in one of the previous bands with Jeff Sullivan and had decided to get together in the making of rüe the day. With the touch of his bluesy leads and the band could besomething to look out for in the future. rüe the day's album was recorded at Tape Works in Hartford under the Hartford Conservatory on April 9th 2000. |
