...repetition is a virtue nowadays. If you have been listening to Lunar, then you are aware of the fact that they know it better than me, and any one of you. Isn't that right? Isn't it? Oh yeah, I shouldn't forget this - Lunar are the best Croatian band. Isn't that right?Ivan Mucnjak jr., 24A Lunar, as well as Glasshopper, have appeared on CD "Feathers, Wood & Aluminium". Rhytm section of this band has been playing in Gone Bald (two CD-s on 100% Recordings in the Netherlands)...Lunar`s music could be described as "spaced rock". Often compared with Tortoise, Labradford, June of 44, Ui and many others. Still, they have unique style of developing patterns of rhythm & simple, minimalistic melody. Imagine sounds of deep space, rhytmic patterns Laika experienced on her flight to eternal universe..."EARWING...Their patience in creating the atmosphere that actually carries you away is really wonder-striking......I got the impression that Lunar is a group of very talented musicians who know exactly what they want.PLAN99When you add guitars to this rhytm section you get a real trip on horseback to the moon!EARWINGLunar is the best Croatian band.PiKuN, NOMADLunar - one of the things we thought were great, but they suck.Josip Viskovic, NOMADAbout 2 years ago, some people were trying to make me believe that there isn't a good enough demo band in Croatia for playing on their very popular and "alternative" radio station. They said that there isn't a band with required amount of originality, good songs, good recordings and strong and effective live show. Today I would have answered them in one single word: Lunar....talking to my, musicaly truly alternative, friend and teacher Vrana, I couldn't clasify Lunar's music. Maybe they could just be connected with Tortoise in some way......Nixa and Bojan definatelly come from noise environment, considering the fact that they played in one of the rare, succesfull abroad, Croatian noise bands - Gone Bald. That experience was very positive and usefull, although it, musicaly, has no bonds with today's Lunar...Ivan Ramljak, NOMAD...absolutely the best band on that evening presented their vision of noise/post-rock... ...Lunar is definatelly a representative name in the genre...Mario Grdosic, PLAN99...Slint-descendants from Croatia which, during their show, proved that they are a band with something to say......full focus on musical expression and quest for originality within universaly predictable mathematical forms of postrock give this quartet all the needed creativity potential...Bigor, MUSKA
