Artist History Katja Porovne finished her guitar studies in Ljubljana on the Music High School by prof. Tomaž Šegula and on the Academy of Music by prof. Andrej Grafenauer. She continued her studies in Vienna, where she graduated in the class of Brigitte Zacsek.Katja Porovne performs solo and in various chamber casts. She already won several prizes on international guitar competitions (Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Spain).Andrej Grafenauer (1958) finished his primary and secondary music school at professor Tomaž Šegula. He continued his study on the Academy of Music in Graz, where he graduated in the class of professor Marga Bäuml-.Klasinc. He perfected his knowledge under Abel Carlevaro, the famous guitar- player from Uruguay. He is intensivily devoted to his pedagogical work as a university teacher for a guitar on the Academy of Music in Ljubljana where he also introduced the high-school programme for this instrument.Andrej Grafenauer performs regulary in solo recitals and in various chamber casts: in guitar and cello or flute duets, in guitar, violin and cello trio and with string quartet. His concerts are always warmly accepted by the audience and the professional critics. Katja Porovne and Andrej Grafenauer play together in guitar duo since 1995
