Turnbull is a husband/wife acoustic pop/rock worship leading duo, performing and leading worship for retreats, youth/young adult camps, for church services, special events, coffeehouses and festivals, throughout the US. They have recorded two independent projects of original pop/rock and worship music, first in 1998 and again in March 2000. Both were produced by Rick May, drummer for DC talk. Their music has been reviewed by CCM, and included on the SODA compilation CD by Release magazine. They also have online reviews by CMRH, CMCA and Broken Records. They've shared the stage with Christian artists, Margaret Becker, Nichole Nordeman, Audio Adrenaline, Clay Crosse, New Song and Chris Lizotte, have appeared live on WSFJ-Columbus, Christian television and have had airplay on Christian and secular radio stations across the US and in over ten other countries. Four of the songs from their debut CD, self-titled "Turnbull", made it onto the Christian Independent Radio Charts of WITR-FM out of Rochester, NY and in the top ten rotation at WLRY-FM and KYNT-FM.

    Artist History
Turnbull started performing together in 1989 as members of a Christian band. The band members moved on to other ministries, but John and Julie continued writing and performing together. In the midst of music, they fell in love and got married. Together they've been ministering, singing and leading worship in churches, at retreats and camps, for special events, at festival and in coffeehouses all across the US.The purpose behind Turnbull's music is to share their testimonies and hope with others, and to lead them to the feet of Christ. They are honest and open about where they have been in life and what God has done for them personally.
