Artist History
The concept for what is now ION VEIN began some ten years ago when Chris heard Fates Warning for the first time. It took many years to get the chemistry right but in October ?97 when the current line-up was in place, each member knew this is the band they?ve been searching for their whole life. Building on influences as diverse as Dream Theater and Iron Maiden, ION VEIN create music that stretches the imagination without forgetting the average listener. |

Press Reviews
A must-have CD for any prog-metal fan... Excuse me while I go dust off QUEENSRYCHE?s abandoned throne; a worthy successor has been crowned. -Michael Rosser - Promethean Crusade Magazine 2/00; ......................................................................Epic, bold, grandoise progressive metal with an emphasis on the "metal." Complex, tight and fascinating. A fantastic production job, as well. Fans of old Queensryche, Maiden and the like need to get this one right away. -James Bickers - Sea of Tranquility Volume 4/Number 2 11/99; ......................................................................On their debut album "Beyond Tomorrow," Ion Vein brings together the influences of band such as, Fates Warning, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and Dream Theater, and fuses them together to produce a very powerful yet melodic blend of progressive power metal. Hailing from Chicago, Illinois (USA), Ion Vein has established themnselves as one of the best emerging Metal bands in the United States. (4 out of 5) -Michael Lu - Renegade Magazine 11/99 |
