Artist description
This fun-loving group of guys love to play their instruments and make music together. The result can be ethereal, hard, poppy, or whatever anyone is feeling that day. Since the addition of John Adams on drums, the group has had a more driving urgency coming from the rythm section. This was a welcome change. |

Artist History
George moved to San Francisco from Europe where he'd been working. He hooked up with Toby and Josh when he produced a recording of their prior band, Elmo. After Elmo broke up, they joined George in the new venture which they dubbed Inflatable Scream. They found Paul through an ad in the Bay Guardian. The first CD, Crater, was well-received. However, before they could support it, Josh moved back to the east coast, so Toby decided to play drums and the group gigged for a while as a trio. Eventually they met up with Chris (who played keyboards) and they gigged as a quartet. Paul eventually left to finish his college degree. At the same time, they met John Adams through too much drinking at the local dive bar. This began a crazy period which ended when Chris left the group, and Toby took a leave of absence.Toby is back with the group, now playing bass. As a trio with John Adams on drums, the group is stronger than ever before. The upcoming new CD, The Multi-Orgasmic Male, promises to showcase a more evolved pop sensibility. Rob Burger of Tin Hat Trio was recruited to play keyboards on The Multi-Orgasmic Male. There will be shows in the very near future, though most likely it wil be theGeorge/Toby/John trio (Rob is a very busy guy!). |
