    Artist description
From Nick QuickL comes 'DJ Fa-Q'. Formed in May of 2000. A solo performer using Keyboards and Samplers. He is making electronic based music with a psychedelic edge for live shows. The music is a hodgepodge of live tweaked out, acid sounding keyboard leads, with samples that range too vast to list such as machines, voices, nature and whatnot. DJ FaQ, is a Rock and Roll and Electronic music fan. Different styled songs that DJ FaQ plays onstage, simply show that there are so many influences. "No one set style satisfies in the studio during serious sessions of any singular song. Let the focus be on the music and the live shows. This is where it starts. So listen now online to the mp3s. Artist History
QuickL was born in Harmony. (HARMONY, PENNSYLVANIA that is!) Made music. Graduated from Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, Pa., made more music. Moved to Pittsburgh for years. Made more music. Got married. Made more music. Moved to WV. AND IS STILL MAKING MUSIC! -----------------------------5*2000*AD That's when DJ FaQ was created. DJ FaQ has been playing on stages in the Charleston, Beckley, and Huntington areas of West Virginia since April of 2000. In 1984 QuickL was (yes) a rapper. Not typical Hip Hop stuff. NOT GANSTA! The DJ moved, and QuickL bought a keyboard to supply the music, but dropped the whole group after falling victim to the Electronic music bug. Nick sang in Black Sabbath influenced rock groups during this and through the mid and late 80's and early 90's, but none of these garage bands were to last. QuickL started moving more into faster Electronic music to form his style of Techno which was utilized from 1999 to winter of 2001. Now Nick Quickle, a.k.a. "DJ FaQ", has slowed the music down again in a lot of live performances, from the fast pounding techno beats as in songs like 'The manhunt', he dusted off the OZZY/Black Sabbath 'influenced' vocals, connected with fellow musicians doing spontaneous jams, and had sparked his creativity not found in years. He is now recording 'official' CD number 4. Of which 3 and one demo have been marketed and sold locally from independant record stores and online. He has already played shows with groups such as Nicole 11:11, FREAKTENT, RasClaat, WESTLAKE, DJ CHARLIE BROWN SUPERSTAR, Loss of Will, AGAINST, POORMAN's PIE, and other local WV. musical happenings such as festivals like the Spring Wing Fling in Huntington, and the Zen Strange Arts & Music Festival in Oh.
