Artist description Born from the wicked weather and isolation of Kodiak Island, Alaska, EV! is a rock band with a unique sound and aggressive style. They have successfully channeled their personal frustrations due to their disconnection from the "real" world into a home-brewed concoction that is original and yet nostalgic. The forceful and aggressive guitar screams protests and serenades over thundering bass and drums, while giving vocal emphasis on lead changeups and harmony.

Artist History Soon after the conception of EV! by Colby Imus and Jon Hillman in Kodiak, Alaska, the need for expansion was evident. What began was a journey seeking out a stronger market of resources for their performing and recording prospects, and it ended up with an alliance with Self Adhesive Records, and its president, Jon Goff. They have established what they refer to as their "base-camp", in Seattle, Washington, profiting from its centralized location, accessible resources and rich job market with which to fund their collective goals. February of '98 marked the union between EV! and bassist and longtime friend, Ivan Winkler, expanding the band's personal influences (Tom Waits, Hoodoo Gurus) and preparing the band for its assault on the music world. July 2000 marks the release of EV!'s debut CD, "Hello Dali".
