Artist History
Audesys are a young five-piece band originally formed in 1995 by Adam Gardner (drums) and Neelan Gopal (bass). The current line-up was finalised new years eve 1999. We started recording the 'Strange Machine' ep in late '99 and finished mixing in early April 2000, however it is actually the product of 2 year's worth of ideas. The band were involved in all aspects of the recording process with no outside assistance. The recording was a learning experience for the entire band and was completed with nothing more than a few cheap mics, a mixer and standard computer soundcard. |

Press Reviews
Excerpt from Townsville Bulletin 28.04.00; Guitarist Dave Roy is something of a shred meister but these tunes aren't just excuses for Roy to let rip. Each one is a complex and meticulously put together hard rock mini-symphony. These songs are hard to describe. The musicians in Audesys are all very very good players. Gopal is an awesome slap bass player, drummer Adam Gardner plays some very complex rhythms and Matt Booy does some great atmospheric synthesizer stuff. |
