Artist History
In Semptember of 98' Steve was detrmined to start a band. He put the word out on the streets and soon met another guitarist. They decides to then find a drummer. One night Steve was hanging out in his niegborhood when he met Victor. They knew from the start that it would work. So the three formed Politically Incorrect. They released a demo recorded on a gorillia amp, a marshall, a snare drum, and a hi-hat(with no bass). That didn't get them to far so they changed their band name to Dexaid and headed in a new musical direction. They released one sucessful demo and played a handfull of shows. Then in early July, Steve and Victor got in a huge fight. They broke up and Stev and the guitarist started a new band. Soon after Steve quit that band to reunite with Victor. Soon it was just Steve and Victor with four songs and no bassist or singer. Steve had known John from school and knew he played guitar. He asked him to come and play bass for their band and he agreed. With a little polishing up, One Step Ahead found their sound. I very uniqe sound at that. Now all they needed was a singer. Jay Pacale had filled in on bass for Dexaid so the band asked him to sing a few songs. They were almost complete but they needed a name. It seemed perfect to name the band One Step Ahead because, in truth, they were always some how One Step Ahead of everyone else. That's when O.S.A. was born. A new delima arrived though. Jay had another band. Everyone new this and were ok but it seemed right to get their own singer. So Steve, being that he sung in the last two bands decided to sing for O.S.A. Jay was then placed as a guest/ co-singer, and One Step Ahead was offically complete! |
