Artist description TPM (Toledo Polkamotion) originated in 1983 and is celebrating 17 years in the Polka Music field. From its beginning, TPM has made waves with countless polka fans across the United States and Canada.TPM, consisting of Ted Lange, Jeff Mleczko, Eddie Siwiec, Erik Bogdon, and Joe Zalewski, bring a combination of youth and experience to the Polka Music scene. Through its renegade style and versatility, TPM has created its own distinct sound. TPM is at the forefront of bringing progressive polka music into the mainstream. Whether playing traditional or progressive polkas, TPM is known for energizing its audience. TPM is entertainment.To date, TPM has twenty-one (21) recordings available and is planning two new releases for 2000. In May 2000, TPM release a new recording entitled "TPM…All Night Long" on World Renowned Sounds of Cleveland, Ohio. "TPM…All Night Long" will include 8 unreleased songs along with cuts from previous recordings. In April 2000, TPM released a new album entitled "TIMELESS", featuring 7 original songs, on it’s own Independent Label, TOPOMO Records. TPM has gained nationwide recognition with its recordings and live performances. In 1991, TPM was honored for the recording "Grand Illusion", as they received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Polka Recording. The Grammy is the music industry's most prestigious award and is presented annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. TPM has received numerous awards from the United States Polka Association. TPM has three times received the honor of U.S.P.A. Band of the Year. Last year, for the 3rd consecutive time, TPM was awarded the 1998 Lake Erie West Peoples Choice Award for Favorite Ethnic Entertainer.From Polka Festivals to Las Vegas to the Howard Stern Show, TPM's overwhelming success and recognition in the Polka industry has given the group the opportunity to make appearances throughout the country.
