Artist History
Where'd it all begin? Hmm, it began with an initial idea of creating original music in a backwards, bar-band dominated music scene. I (John) was a lonely guitarist with a dream and hardly any experience with 'bands.' Sure, I'd jammed with friends and tried to start a band, but nothing seemed to work, until... I got word that my sister's friend Jeremy (drummer) wanted to start a punk band from our mutual friend Mark (bassist). He said he wanted to make music and actually do something with it. We decided we'd play punk/ska covers till we really started to get serious and to see if it works. Needless to say, after six months of covers, we decided we were ready. We only had one song that was actually laid out. We also wanted to do the album ourselves. This lead to quite an experience in cable splitting, routing, etc. We recorded about 10 songs, but we didn't get vocals in... because I had to leave for college... in Wyoming. A semester goes by and we all keep in contact and made musical contacts to prepare for the actual demo. I get back and we practice like mad men! After Christmas we started to record. We go in the studio (aKa Jeremy's basement) and record our demo (check it out). We're still independent and looking to get signed, if you like us e-mail us and tell us what you think! |
