Artist description The Nettles ignite audiences with fiery music that blends traditional music with modern spices. The Nettles are a hot regional Celtic band who play their progressive and exciting music at festivals, concerts, bars and dances in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. On uilleann pipes, fiddle, guitar, bass, pennywhistle, drums and percussion, they play acoustic improvisational music based on traditional tunes, a sort of acoustic Celtic jam band. The Nettles joke that they "never play the same tune _once_." The Nettles get airplay on radio stations throughout North America, Europe and Australia and have been breaking attendance records at local bars and dances.

Artist History The Nettles formed in 1996 from a living room jam session. Since then they have played in every type of venue,from festivals to a concert hall at the Oregon Bach Festival to bars to a wedding in the Opal Creek Wilderness Area to the opening ceremony for the Oregon Senate.
