Artist History
I've worked on and off with other bands. This has greatly influenced my sound and the way I work. My First keyboard was an electric organ that my Grandmaw bought me at a yardsale. From there I worked my way up from Casios to my first sequencer, the Yamaha QY-300. That was back before I knew what Pro gear was, or realized the power of Music software. Now I go into my local Guitar Center and am amazed at what the market has to offer for the electronic musician. Often the question I'm asked is, "I want to start making music, where do I start?" Well, I would buy some of the Magazines on the market such as "Keyboard Magazine" or "FutureMusician". My favorite bang for the buck is the Yamaha QY-70 handheld sequencer, and Sonic Foundry's "Acid". But a used drum machine from your local pawn shop is always a good place to start too. |
