Artist History Not just another Alternative Rock Band, Octopus Extensions has been a frustrating but vital journey. Originally formed by guitarist Joe Manalisay as an instrumental jazz/rock guitar band, the Octopus decided to pursue creative songwriting. Gina Sanchez signed on at the beginning of 1996 as lead vocalist and lyricist, foster cathead was added on bass in 1998, and Jerry Howeth on drums is the newest member signing on in 2000.
