Artist description Distance Zero has a wide variety of tracks to select from including ballads, upbeat rockers and heavy rock.Our focus now is our sound which is aiming more towards power-pop, although we still reserve the right to play any and all types of music. That's what we have always done. We feel our strongpoint is our songwriting. We like to have fun and have reached a few of our goals,such as playing live and making a CD. Our next goal is to be a great Florida band and tour the state. We would also like to open for major acts. Keith(bass) has opened up for Cheap Trick among others in his old band named Velvet Jones.

Artist History Chuck Jones(guitar) and Rob Ryan(drums) started the band in 1996. Dave Madnick,a long-time friend of Rob's, joined the band in late 1996. He has since left the band never to be heard from again.Joe Baxter(lead guitar)was recruited heavily by Chuck and Rob through pick-up ice hockey games. He finally relented,gave us a listen and subsequently joined in the summer of 1997. Moose(vocals)was an acquantance of Chuck's and joined in December of 1997. Keith Howard(bass) was recently added to replace Dave. We are a local South Florida band looking to become a major Florida band. Our self-titled CD is being released May 12th, 2000.We have won $1000 in the Skittle's(formerly Gary's) Battle Of The Bands in late 1999 and have played clubs such as The Elbo Room, Hard Rock Cafe, Sloppy Joe's, The Culture Room and Obie's.
