Artist History
British born singer/songwriter Chris Cutler’s first working ‘gig’ was as the contract songwriter for the British movie Love 3000, after which he joined the band Live Wire, signed a deal with A&M Records and spent an exhilarating time recording in George Martin’s Air Studios with world renowned producer Glyn Johns. Following the band’s breakup, Chris honed his considerable songwriting skills whilst contracted to Front Room Recording Studios where he worked with a number of major record labels artists, including Roy Sundholme and Eddi Reader, vocalist with the Eurythmics. In 1995 Chris moved to the heart of the world’s entertainment industry in Los Angeles where he currently teaches songwriting at the Learning Tree University, whilst composing and performing his own particular brand of smooth and popular jazz at venues across the city. He has also recently started composing children’s music and one of his first works, The Bug Song, is a featured track on the latest Microsoft/Scholastic CD ROM title The Magic Schoolbus Explores Bugs. More of his entertaining music will soon feature on an upcoming children’s CD ROM game from Mattel. |
