    Artist description
Chainlink's unassumingly heavy, almost brutal, style is a refreshing departure from the cookie-cutter bands that want little more then to imitate other established, successful bands on the market. Chainlink's stage presence is commanding without relying on cheap gimmicks and/or choreography to keep the crowd worked up and moving. With influences that include deadindustry, Hatebreed, Fear Factory and Vision of Disorder, Chainlink is not for the weak at heart. There are no melodies, no hip-hop and no trends to be found within their music. Cody Dobbs (vocals), Jeff Kelley (guitar), Josh Payne (bass) and Mark Risinger (drums) play what is in their hearts with little regard for whether or not people like it, but hoping that they do. This mentality has garnered Chainlink a small, but loyal fan base in the Longview and Palastine areas, that never fail to turn out for a show that has Chainlink on the bill. Feeling that East Texas is but a stepping stone to bigger things, Chainlink now has their sites set firmly on invading Dallas and Shreveport, and will not give up until they do exactly that.
