Artist description Minus Max plays emo/poppy new generation punk rock. We have fun when we play while putting on an energetic show. We practice our butts off as we have since we got together a year and half ago, and the results are showing as we see satisfied listeners from a home of Knoxville, TN. We have TONS of PROFESSIONAL recording experience,(just no full-length cds out, but will be!) LISTEN TO US!!!

Artist History WARNING: Only read if bored to hellMinus Max is a "do whatever they want" kind of punk band out of Knoxville, TN. The group was originally brought togetherin the summer of 99 as Ripping Hammer soon after recording their first demo they changed their name to Minus Max. Guitarist, Gene Priest, coming from punk bands: Duck Tape aka Ten80, and Against the wall; started the nameless band with Nate. Nate Caldwell took on the position as the vocalist from previous punk and ska bands: Pleather and ToneFx. Soon,Preston Stroud from the bands: Duck Tape aka Ten80, and Soach; began practicing with Gene and Nate as the bassist, they finally found their edge with drummer BJ Graves from bands: BaySick and Soach. Preston and Nate split, a new guy Nick who came along from Chicago (and a band named KnuckleDuster) teamed up with Gene for vocals and to also play bass. Nate later rejoined to take over Bass while Nick became the 2nd Guitarist. Together with their music experience and song writing abilities begun to crank out their own style of punk ranging from from all genres. As Minus Max they are new onto Knoxville's dying punk scene, and will hopefully be recording a video and new full length cd soon. It's been a bumpy ride, but now that Minus Max has found it's members and completed the f'ed up jigsaw, they are ready to get on the road, and make great music.
