    Artist History
Stone Soup, The Melting Pot of Music, is an original rock band cookin’ its way around the Northeast music scene. Featuring lead vocalist Art Murphy on guitar; Kevin Pagliccia on lead guitar and vocals; Jeremy Leavis on bass guitar, tenor sax and vocals; and Dan Tesniere on drums, Stone Soup can be found playing the finest venues from New York City to Portland, Maine.Stone Soup was voted New Artist Of The Year 2000 by the readers of Jam Music Magazine. Since forming in January of 1999, this award-winning band has received regular airplay on WHEB, WGIR, WFNX, WCYY, and WUNH. In June of 2000, Stone Soup’s sax-driven rocker 5 or 50 was released on the Sonic Assembly benefit compilation CD. Their song No No was selected to appear on Boston’s Naked Ear Records’ 2000 compilation CD Get The Hook. Stone Soup’s full-length debut CD, Stone Soup … The Melting Pot Of Music, was unveiled before a standing room only crowd at The Elbow Room in New York City on Saturday, July 1, 2000. They’ve been back to the city at least one Saturday a month since their July debut, playing to packed audiences at CBGB and the Elbow Room. Because their New England fans demanded it, they have been chartering and selling out buses to the city for their New York gigs, where their fan base is rapidly expanding.Stone Soup was invited to play the Elbow Room yet again on October 22, 2000 to showcase as a part of the CMJ MusicFest. At the request of icast.com, Stone Soup documented the entire CMJ weekend on videotape. They filmed Stone Soup’s CMJ send-off party the night before, the Party Bus ride into the city for the 50 lucky winners of Stone Soup’s CMJ Party Bus Giveaway, Stone Soup’s CMJ Showcase, and the wild Party Bus ride all the way back home. Icast.com plans to edit this video into a short documentary to be included on this premier entertainment website. As a result of great songs, hard work, the growing buzz on the street, and their CMJ Showcase, Stone Soup is currently examining their options with several independent record labels.
