Artist History Ripsquad the Midnight Express consists of two emcees: Speed a.k.a. Whatevaz Cleva and Furious a.k.a Whoeva Neva. Both hail from the Cleveland, Ohio area, one of the fastest growing areas for hot hip hop today. Ripsquad as a duo has been together for 6 years, Prior to that, they were one half of a four man group called Tha Supreme Kourt. In total,the Squad’s chemistry has been brewing for over nine years. In 1998, Ripsquad debuted with their 12" single "Ice Water" b/w "Ultimate Dialect". Along with continuing to develop their sound and create new single, they united with the Immortal Micunion to release the acclaimed LP, "O.R.I.O.N." in 1999. Since then, Speed and Furious have been rocking various shows and spending long hours in the studio preparing to unleash their incomparable sound on the rest of the world with their debut LP entitled "Illa Godz".
