Russian-born guitar virtuoso and composer Rashid Fanine awakens the creative imagination with his powerful impressionistic music. Rashid is from the Ural mountains in central Russia and the different ethnic influences which can be heard in his music reflect his own complex cultural background. |

Artist History
Rashid started to play guitar when he was twelve years old. In 1980 he moved from central Russia to St. Petersburg where he had an active musical career playing in clubs and the theatre. He came to Europe in 1996 where he performed as a soloist at music festivals in Germany and France. In 2000 Rashid immigrated to Canada and now lives in Victoria, BC. |
