Press Reviews
Review of Journey Through Sound from Sense @ raw42.com: journey through sound has been buzzing around in my head over the last couple of days, and everytime i listen to it, it becomes more and more infectious. o.r.g. conjures up images in his tracks, that special difference which sets "ok artists" apart from "really good artists". it's all about laid back jazz-step with all of o.r.g.s work. the name of the track just about sums up whats going on here....it's a beautiful aural journey with hynotic backward lead sounds, big full organs and that attention grabbing vocal sample "journeys through sound". every element in this track is throughly planned, each switch to another level, every melody, every sound is perfect and is in total harmony with the other. sometimes when you know who an artists "inspiration" is, its tiring to hear that artist trying to emulate their heros. in o.r.g.'s case though, he has taken the 4 hero/adam f sound in his own direction and does not try to make a carbon copy sound. the best laid back dnb tune ive heard this year over the web. play this over and over to really apreciate whats going on. put this one on the top of the top tracks list! |
