Artist description
Sigon is known as a witty punchline emcee who's abilites extend past his witty punchlines and classic hip-hop beats. A battle emcee by nature, his cuts give off the same intensity as a Scribble Jam final round. |

Artist History
Sigon started rhyming in March of 2000, when he first started at LyricalBeatdown.com. But Sigon caught on very quickly and went on to win both the WBF Intercontinetal and LBF Topical Belts in text. Known for witty punchlines and nice deep metaphors, he took it to the next level and began doing audio battles. From the time of late July 2000 to early November 2000, Sigon made about 30 audios, including an impressive 6 audios in 4 days. His determination to success caused him to seek out the best emcees on the net. In doing so Sigon has battled such emcees as SpanishPhly, VIRTual, Rubix, QuOte One*, InTaCt, Venom, DOULJA, and many more. After making a name for himself on the Internet Battle Board scene he moved onto to mp3.com putting down tracks at www.mp3.com/sigon. In late October, Sigon hooked up with the well-known net crew, "Unorthodox" which consist of the best netcees all across the country. Sigon has been known to post at Sptiboxers.com, SOHH.com, Rapmusic.com, Rhymelife.com, LyricalBeatdown.com, 411Hype.com, Ughh.com, and many more. In Jan. 2001, Sigon had "Faces of Mine," "Rising Sun," "and "Unorthodox Whut!!!" all in the top thirty of their respective genres. "Unorthodox Whut!!" has been in the top thirty of the East Coast genre for three months and peaked at #16 of all hip-hop tracks in California and #11 on the East Coast Hip-Hop rankings. Currently Sigon is working on his first full length LP entitled "Iller Than You!" to be released exclusively at mp3.com. Recently in Jan 2001, Sigon signed with a local record and production company called Dream On Records |

Press Reviews
"Delivering an assortment of abrasive words, relentless beats, and deeply rooted thoughts this Sigon is extremely inspirational. Sigon unleashes a wrath of microphone fury that fails to pale in comparison to all emcee’’s who believe they are Iller Than You!!!..."- Webmaster for HipHopHotSpot.com(2001), "Who's Gon?"(article about Sigon)- Rebel Yell(2000), "A new track means a new meaning. This cat Sigon can't help but exhibit his originality in a world prevelant of uniform 'pop-hop'..."- Rhymelife.com (2000) |
