Artist description
Matter's Dark Funk is a special blend of trash-rock, hardcore and funk influences. It sounds like a furious-but-depressed James Brown band, or Depeche Mode playing that funky music with a new metal edge. Although trash and hardcore influences are obviously present in MatteR's music, there is clearly more to the band than head-banging and power-chords. Their sound is sometimes angry and forcefully driven, but yet, fused with a unique smooth, melodic core. |

Artist History
MatteR's major influences include the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Tool, Korn and a rhythmic section à la Steve Gadd. While the influence of these artists often shows, MatteR keeps a creative touch in each note they play and convert the heaviest song into something accessible to every ear. "I don't want to create a revolution, I want you to seek for the best within yourself. I want you to matter…” .Will you MatteR ? |
