Artist History
Formed in 1994 by singer/songwriter Peter Fosso, their first recording, “Come to Me” was featured on Bombshelter Videos, a staple of the Seattle music scene (now archived at the Experience Museum). Their next recording session placed them in the hands of producer Kelly Gray (Candlebox). Their first single, “Start All Over Again” landed them on the Rock the Vote compilation, Propaganda, and the hook-laden groove of the song caught the ears of Album Network – selected as a ”Designated Hitter” on Album Network’s Rock Tune-up compilation CD. Life Like Feel was then picked up by Phisst Records, a nationally-distributed independent label, and their self-titled debut that followed brought them rave reviews, selling over 6,000 units – with no tour and very little promotion! __________________________________ Other accomplishments soon followed. Life Like Feel’s first single “Start All Over Again” has now been played on nearly 100 different radio stations to date. The band has even achieved success in a number of contests, Yamaha Soundcheck voted them “one of the Top 10 unsigned bands in the nation”, a semi-finalist in the Disc Makers Northwest Unsigned Band World Series, as well as being voted, “Best Unsigned Band” (in Seattle), winning a recent KISW/Samuel Adams battle of the bands. In the latter part of 1997 they released a 4-song EP titled, “Songs from the Deep End” (Insight Records). The single “Dive” having been previously made available on the 4th Annual Independent Label Festival’s compilation CD was also the leading track on the popular Northwest band compilation, The New Seattle Music Scene (which also debuted Harvey Danger’s soon-to-be-hit song “Flagpole Sitta”). Since then, Life Like Feel has been receiving airplay on Seattle mega-stations KISW and KNDD. __________________________________ The past two years have been a remarkable time for Life Like Feel. The band has opened for several national touring acts including FUEL, Page/Plant, King’s X, Hater, Galactic Cowboys, String Cheese Incident, Jethro Tull, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Super Deluxe, Bonham, and Goodness. Having received an endorsement from the software company, Synthesoft, Life Like Feel’s live shows now include a full onstage multimedia experience (which they debuted at the Roseland Theater in Portland opening for V.A.S.T.) which utilizes impressive sound-synching 3D animation software, adding a unique dimension to their live shows. They have honed their writing skills and are always exploring the latest in melodic and creative sound (i.e. unusual samples and loops). At work currently on their 2nd full-length album, Life Like Feel plan to release it soon as part of a widespread distribution effort which will include the new Independent kiosks in Tower Records nationwide. |
