Artist description
Dave Ryder lives in a tiny Missouri town named Catawissa with his fiancee Torri Carver, white German shepherd named Dog, and some ill-tempered fish named Tony and Bob. He records all of his music in his own home studio, overseen by a ghostly character known only as Leopold (whose famous "drum or die" quote is still occasionally repeated ) , and who can only be described as a benevolent poltergeist with a penchant for lowering slide faders at inopportune times. He has released 3 albums to date titled "Electric Man", "Inner Travels", and "Fringe Benefits". He is currently working on his 4th album "Ghost Voices", of which previews can be heard at his web page: www.daveryder.com , along with selected songs from his previous albums. |

Press Reviews
"I'm more excited about this CD (Inner Travels) than any I've bought this year. Raw , homegrown sound . Daves dark melodies tell too well of his tormented genius"(Kent Hall/KHITS Radio St.Louis)"Electric Man is one of those rare albums that actually has a story to tell...a high quality production...haunting, ethereal, and gritty...in short, it's kind of disturbing." (C.E. Lurks/The Forum - Florissant Valley Community College) |
