Artist description
"BEAU's the name, ROX the game." Every artist has his or her influences and so do I, many in fact. But I write my own songs about my own life and ideas. I think stuff up, write it and sing it. |

Press Reviews
Beau Rox has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. He has three and a half octaves and knows how to use them. He can sing any type of music he writes very well, and he writes in any genre he feels at the time. Beau Rox seems to not want to be stereo-typed, he just wants to be all over your stereo. He tends to sound a bit like David Bowie, but that's not a bad thing. There are many worse singers he could tend to sound like. I don't think he's trying to actually copy Bowie (or anybody else, for that matter), he just sounds a bit like him here and there.
Beau Rox' history: He started off in a band called 'Lost Playground' in Columbus, Ohio back in the late 80s. Then he was in a band called 'Paisley Reign' with the current drummer for Nine Inch Nails, Jerome Dillon. People seemed to think that the name meant it was a Prince cover band, so the band eventually broke up, even though its' music was incredible. It's rumored that Beau Rox visited the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame when it was still an iron structure in the mud of a Cleveland lot. Beau had a friend/fellow singer who had recently committed suicide named Ronald Koal. Evidently they had the same influences and were very close. Ronald Koal had a CD titled "White Light", the last of his career from the early 1990s. Beau took a copy of it and a demo tape of his own and put them in the ground where the Hall Of Fame was being built. That way, he (and Ronald Koal) might never actually be "entered in to" the Hall Of Fame, but he is in it. Beau Rox then started a band named 'PURR' with Rikky Soga (formerly of ShokTu, on the Hollywood label). Eventually, Beau felt the need to leave the midwest for the west coast. Beau has lived in San Francisco, Malibu, and now San Jose, California. He plans to come out with a new CD soon. I am one listener who can not wait. Beau Rox has some of the very best music on the internet.
