Artist History
The Dead Beats are Steven Meloan and Michael Meloan. Their music began in the subways of London, Paris, and Berlin - and has since been heard on KROQ's "Rodney on the ROQ," KLOS's "Best of the Local Licks," as well as having garnered airplay on college radio, and in Australia and Canada. Most recently, they've hada #1 hit on MP3.com, and have been featured on MP3.com's "Best 103 Songs" CD. Two of their songs have since beenused by VH1's "Fashion Television." They are also profiled in the just-released "Complete Idiot's Guide to MP3," as wellas having a song on the companion CD.Steven Meloan's written work has appeared in Wired, Rolling Stone, Playboy, SOMA, and AmericanCybercast's Web Episodic, "The Pyramid." Michael Meloan has written for Wired , BUZZ, the L.A. Weekly, and Joe Frank's National Public Radio program. |
