Artist description
From three members to four and now to five, Los Angeles-based supergroup Lustra says "Maybe you're in recession, but we're experiencing phenomenal growth." After a name change and relocation from Boston to LA, Lustra have taken the monster they first introduced on their XOFF release, 'Bikini Pie Fight!', and force-fed it on big beats for a solid year. The result? Watch yer ass in 2002, junior. This beast is heavier, louder, and handsomer than ever, and when it shows up in your city this year, it won't have come just to feed the pigeons. |

Artist History
From their origin as a 3 piece garage band in a burned out basement in Somerville, MA to their current status as dilettante brats in West Hollywood, Lustra has tried to stay true to their mission of providing fresh, bombastic sounds to folks who like an intense, moving sound. They have played from Europe to California. They have played to the bartender and owner in an empty club and they have played for 25,000 screaming kids at a huge outdoor venue. They have been sued by a huge media juggernaut (the parent company of Seventeen magazine made them change their name from the original 'seventeen'). They are creating a new record which will hopefull be available in the spring or summer of 2002. |

Press Reviews
Enormous musical and vocal talent... [R]aw energy and hard driving fun... Boston's hottest up-and-coming band.
— Billboard Online
Intellectualism answers to the bloody axe of loud rock.... Bikini Pie Fight!, featuring the spit-stained scorcher 'Porno Getaway,' shows the band knows how to get the kids moshing.
— CMJ Monthly
In the philosophic vein of such rock pranksters as Blink 182 and early Green Day.
— USA Today
Serious gray matter and a sense of humor.... A darned good new CD that manages to poke fun at the rock-star mentality and embrace it at the same time.
— Boston Globe
