Artist description Ruslana, being a charming Ukrainian female, coincides talents of a producer, a conductor and a singer. She is absorbed by creation of new musical shows - in a castle, in the mountains, in a square - and new musical genre of a musical film. Her musical style - art rock- brings together rock and Hutsul pipe; her image - a lass which honours the Sun. Her philosophy is sunrise, incarnating the triumph of the Thought as the comments of a new era. Her symbol - revitalization of Ukrainian castles, Carpathian nature and Romance age.

Artist History Her top success, up to her mind, is the implementation of three great projects: “Windbells” (1996-97), “Moment of Spring” - “Sunrise” (1998) and “Final Christmas of 90’s” (1999). “Windbells” is the single project in Ukraine, dedicated to the third centenary anniversary of Renaissance. This musical style (windbells) is a very special and inexhaustible synthesis of a rock group and a symphony orchestra (chorus). It presents the aesthetic of a European feast. The next project is a hymn to the Spring. Its booth albums - “Moment of Spring” and “The Best Live of Windbells” - are still holding the leading position in the whole market. For “Sunrise” composition from the first of two albums, Ruslana was awarded with the most prestigious premium in “Best Song” and “Best Video” nominations in 1998. Beginning with 1996, Ruslana and her team prepare several Christmas unpluggeds, which initiated the traditions of Christmas celebration in modern music and were titled “Christmas with Ruslana”. “Final Christmas of 90’s” is the musical film, a multi compact action, a bouquet of eclectism. Just a chance to remind all the best from 90’s! Ancient European Lviv is our stage with numerous games, fireworks and masquerade, aristocratic castle and carols - our idea. In spring, 1999 new Ruslana’s albums “Children of Spring” and “instrumentals of Ruslana’s hits by a rock group and the symphony orchestra” will be issued. In summer, 1999 at tremendous project “Tour over the castles of Ukraine and Europe” titled “Nostalgy of Millennium” will be launched. This project is dedicated to revitalization of unique Ukrainian castles, their refurbishment and holding of several unforgettable recitals and actions: a show of light and fireworks, a symphony orchestra and a rock group, exhibitions, fancy-bulls and tournaments will finalize the second millennium. And already now Ruslana prepares to meet the “Third Millennium Sunrise” and “Christmas 2000”.
