Artist description
It's almost difficult to call OR industrial with the current genre trend of metal riffs on top of drum loops. This band pushes away from the verse-chorus noise typical to modern third-generation industrial to produce well-orchestrated pieces consisting of strong, precise beats mixed with catchy synth-lines and the reserved use of hard-edged guitars. Objective Reality pushes the potential of putting emotion and aggression into 1's and 0's while maintaining excellent composition integrity. |

Press Reviews
one of the finer new industrial acts is objective reality. the handiwork of scott mitting in the studio with a live band for shows. this band, while not necessarily breaking major new ground, is nonetheless one of the top industrial indie acts because they have an excellent talent for songwriting which catches and hooks the listener. not an easy skill but objective reality seem to have it down to a fine art. call me old fashioned, but i like a well-placed vocal sample in electronic music.......self is a sidestep into techno, being faster than the other songs and including the kick drum beat. but it's the other drums and the vocals that make this track stand out. a good sense of timing is evident in the snare-vocal combination in the chorus. with good production, this song could be one of the better ones in the genre.objective reality is not fast music, it doesn't generate masses of bass, but it's heavy nonetheless. good music that is well worth checking out. -- raw42 |
