Artist description
If you took every kind of music you've ever
heard, threw it in a blender and added a poet
named Moonbeam, the result would be Napier's Bones.
The Seattle-based band is an amalgamation of
styles ranging from rock, blues and jazz to reggae
, psychedelic and tribal sounds.
Napier's Bones feature 13 instruments played
by 6 guys who have a big sound combined with an
organic, grassroots approach to their music.
The band's influences include the mainstream
and eclectic, but the finished product is clearly
original and difficult to categorize.
The band comes to life on stage, often choosing
to abandon set lists altogether and re-create
songs in the middle of playing them. Jamming is
the magic ingredient in Napier's Bones, making
every performance spontaneous and unique. This
jazz-influenced improvisational technique is
always fresh and often incendiary. Needless to
say, not all musicians have the talent to pull
this off, but Napier's Bones deliver the goods.
Crowds often find themselves mesmerized when the
band is in the middle of one of its trademark
jams.
With all 6 of the members writing songs and 5
of them singing, the band enjoys a creative surge
that is never-ending and continuously evolving.
Unlike most bands that rely on one or two
singer-songwriters these guys are a prolific,
versatile, energetic group that values the living,
breathing dynamic of the music above all else.
When combined with the bands' natural chemistry
and spiritual unity, the result is truly inspired.
Songs like "We Belong," "Caught Up," "Remains,"
"Tumbleweed," and "Without A Sound" span a wide
range of emotions, fueled by a deep, soulful
passion that transports the band ---- and the
listener ---- on a most memorable journey.

Artist History
Napier's Bones started out playing in a barn
in Issaquah, WA. and from that humble beginning
the band is now emerging as a nationally acclaimed
talent. They earned a coveted slot opening the
H.O.R.D.E. tour at the Gorge with such luminaries
as Blues Traveler, Barenaked Ladies, Fastball and
Ben Harper. They played at the popular House of
Blues in Los Angeles. Locally, they've played two
sold out shows with Chris Isaak at the Chateau
Ste. Michelle Winery, as well as other premier
venues up and down the West Coast. Napier's Bones
have distinguished themselves as a superb group
live, as evidenced by their burgeoning fan base,
which they are winning over one state at a time. |
