Artist description
Mile Post Nine is a five-piece band that was formed in Northern Virginia in 1998. Their sound incorporates elements of pop, rock, jazz, and world music. They have spent the last year playing extensively in the Mid-Atlantic region.Mile Post Nine has received airplay on radio in North Carolina, Virginia, and D.C. The song “magdalene” spent five weeks at #1 on SoundClick.com, the first Internet charts, and has been included on SoundClick.com’s compilation CD distributed to 5,000 people in the record and entertainment industry. Mile Post Nine recently completed a four-song EP, “this changes everything.” They continue to increase their tour schedule and hope to complete their first full-length album in early 2000. |

Mile Post Nine was formed in May of 1998 and has been playing steadily since then. We play at many of our area's biggest festivals and at many colleges in the Washington, DC and Virginia, and North Carolina area. |
