Press Reviews
"Lucid plays an infectious brand of pop rock with strong
blues and folk influences. "Boredom" kicks start this four
track EP wonderfully with its strong melody and laidback
groove. The acoustic and electric guitars blend so well
together and singer Kevin Lee's vocals has a sweet
vulnerability that's endearing. "It isn't tragic anymore"
is a gem. Lucid's music is heart-felt, unpretentious and
honest."
- Patrick Chng, Teenage Magazine (Apr 1999)
"This CD EP looks good and sounds good...the production is
very good and better still, the four songs here are well-
crafted rock songs....the four band members can and do play
well...Ultimately, it can't be denied that a fitting description
of lucid would be "professional"." - BigO No.160 April 1999
"Lucid's sound ranges from the Brit-poppish "Boredom" and
the bitter-sweet tune of "It isn't tragic anymore, to the
flower power of "Venom" and angst-ridden grunge of "How can I?"
Albeith the diverse style, the tracks cut through with the
signature sounds of each individual musicians, who
lead the listener seamlessly through the kaleidoscopic changes
in the song structure in this powerful debut EP."
