Artist History In another life we were librarians, and hence have been reborn with a desire to make noise. Since 1994 our bi-focals and cardigan sweaters have been eroding away revealing the shinny, super-duper hard inner core that is our true essence. In 1998, LoveSeat Daredevil went through various genetic clonings and cyborg upgrades. So what you see and hear today is the result of this long evolutionary chain of events. Press Reviews “It is impossible to pigeon hole this band into one genre. LoveSeat Daredevil hops from ska to alt-rock to funk so fast that your head will spin. The trip is fun though. Beauty Secrets jump starts with the ferocious “I Lost My Friend,” which features some nice, speedy guitar playing and a funk shuffle that keeps your toes tapping. The speed doesn’t stop there. “Cut By Life” is straight up, unapologetic rock, although a little funk shines through in an extremely Red Hot Chili Peppers-esque chorus. This album is worth checking out just for the wah guitar work on “She Takes” which will blow your mind. Lead singer Chris Cerventes also shines on this track. Another thing that separates LoveSeat Daredevil from the pack is their almost seamless integration of horns into what is, at heart, a rock outfit that plays music for party people. The album is tight and every song seems to belong right where it is placed. Even the African drum introduction to “Kiss Your Killer” fits right in...Overall this is a very impressive release and will cement LoveSeat Daredevil’s position as a hot band on the scene.
