Press Reviews SKRATCH MAGAZINE This punk rock-n-roll collection of musical propaganda promotes devil worshiping, drug and alcohol abuse, car theft, and disrespect to women, and possibly lesbianism in general. Something punk rock needs... a new God. Pop this in and worship your new God, the punk rock God that is, Allen Wrench. Leading this pack of 'Punk rock's most important band' (as they claim) is the devil horned vocalist messiah, Allen Wrench himself who doesn't hold back with lyrics like "My bitch likes to do it when she's on the rag" on the track 'My Bitch is a Junky'. Other friend and family sing alongs are 'Godbye (" ...You must obey, Let Satan command you... ") and I Want to date a Porno Star ("porn stars somke P.C.P., porn stars will give you V.D., you know when it comes down to it, porn stars like to do it"). With veteran members of The Mentors and Road Whore you can't turn away from the sheer force of Kill Allen Wrench. This album is mandatory for punk fans and the curious, but the real picture is painted when seeing these fuck-ups live. With plenty of hype and talk locally, Kill Allen Wrench will explode in a world wide frenzy in the blink of an eye or the firm squeeze of an ass (be carefull Allen might grab your girlfriend's). My Bitch is a Junky is not for the weak hearted. Surely, a contender in my personal top-ten for 1998. BABYSUE REVIEW MAGAZINE Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN! Kill Allen Wrench recorded and produced this CD in their home studio...and it KICKS ASS! Full of completely offensive (for those who can actually BE offended, that is) lyrics, this is one rocking batch of tunes played at a fever high energy level...and the vocals are KILLER. This is HARD ROCK with a very BAD ATTITUDE. The song titles say it all: "I Want To Date A Porno Star," "Can't Stop Getting High," "But Fuck Princess"... The main themes here are to worship the devil, take drugs, get drunk, and treat women like scum. These are the kinds of morals that I can really appreciate. Even if you don't listen to the words, the music STILL rocks! These guys came up with a winner...on the basis of sheer determination and BALLS. (Rating: OF 5 EXCELLENT!!!!!) OX FANZINE (GERMANY) ...these recordings also contain each of the rock basics: reckless and abundant drug use, satanism, female abuse, and alcoholism". So steht es geschrieben auf der Debüt-CD des sympathischen Schwergewichts-Kickbox-Champions ALLEN WRENCH, der sich selbst als "punk rock´s most important superstar" bezeichnet. Wer den Mund so voll nimmt, der sollte schon einiges aufzuweisen haben und siehe da, ein Blick ins Booklet genügt und man findet unter den verschiedenen Gastmusikern Dr. Heathen Scum. Desweiteren heißt einer der Songs "El Duce will kick your ass". Somit findet dieser Silberling prompt den Weg in meinen CD-Player, denn damit ist klar, daß es sich bei dieser Scheibe um ein Produkt aus dem Umfeld der legendären MENTORS handelt. Ein Blick auf die Homepage von ALLEN WRENCH bestätigt diese Vermutung, auch wenn dort eine amüsante Verschwörungstheorie zu lesen ist, in der ALLEN WRENCH für den Tod von Kurt Cobain und El Duce verantwortlich gemacht wird. Musikalisch und textlich wird auf "My Bitch Is A Junky" das Niveau der MENTORS glücklicherweise nicht überschritten, was zwar schwierig erscheinen mag, aber ich kann euch versichern, daß Freunde des billigen Schmuddel-Punkrocks, gepaart mit Asi-Metal/Rock und Texten unterhalb jeglicher Gürtellinie nicht zu kurz kommen. Neben den elf Songs findet man am Ende der CD auch noch gut 25 Minuten Interviews mit ALLEN WRENCH, die ebenfalls deutlich den Mikrokosmos des vermeintlichen Superstars abstecken. Klar, an einer solchen CD können sich die Geister scheiden, aber wie langweilig wäre das Rock´n´Roll-Business ohne schlechte Menschen wie diese. th (57:00) RATING: * * * * * Verdammt gut!
