Artist History Jonathan was born into a very musical family in the late 70's and by age 3 he was singing in the family act at "Belli Deli's" on San Francisco's famous "Pier 39". By 5th grade he had decided he wanted to grow up and be Michael Jackson, he had the "Beat It" jacket and the penny loafers. His Jr. High days started and a fellow choir student, and friend of his, played the guitar for their choir class, and JD vowed then, that he too would become a guitar player. 4 years later as a Sophomore in high school JD discovered the Beatles and Paul McCartney. He formed a band with his Brother and Cousin and learned how to play the bass, all the while continuing to write songs on the guitar. The Arrleys, http://www.mp3.com/TheArrleys, his first band, lasted 3 years and was a group he was very proud to be a part of. But the predictable break up just made Jonathan's determination to make it in music stronger. He formed his Second Band in the summer of '97 called "The Groove Pocket" http://www.mp3.com/JDHB . This time he was on the acoustic guitar. A year of good times and great rock-n-roll lead him to a cross roads. Concerned with his future he evaluated his local success and felt he would always be local unless he moved on to an entertainment capitol. His band was young and really couldn't make the move like he wanted, so his second and favorite group ended. He never stopped writing his songs and has always believed that there is a successful future for him in music. Determined and very talented, Jonathan Dean will definitely be a name you will recognize in the future!
