    Artist description
Formerly called "Heaven's Metal," HM is a bi-monthly magazine covering the Christianhard music scene. each issue features interviews, news, and reviews of your favoritehard music (alternative, hard rock, industrial, metal, punk) artists. There's also a specialfeature in every issue that includes interviews with an artist that doesn't necessarily fitinto that genre (like Megadeth, Green Day, Prong). We cover EVERYTHING within Christian hard music: rapcore, hardcore, heavy metal, industrial, hard rock, punk, ska, modern rock, emo, and alternative (whatever that meansanymore!?).

    Artist History
back in june of 1985. it was a small, folded zine photo copied on paper back then. nowwe are 96 pages thick with lots of color and coverage, as well as online. By 1995, the term "heavy metal" had become outdated (thanks a lot, Nirvana!) due to theevolution of the music scene. The label of "metal" became more of a hindrance indescribing what we're covering and became more and more narrow in its description. The phrase "hard music" seems to fit a lot better here in the 90's, since it covers metal, punk, industrial, alternative, modern rock, hard rock, glam rock, rapcore, etc. People hadstarted calling us "HM" just out of habit, so we thought it would be best to just change ourname to "HM," so that fans of Heaven's Metal would still know who we were and so wecould also cover a more broad spectrum from first glance. People judge magazines bytheir covers, and hm does us more good in today's musical climate than would the title "Heaven's Metal." Be aware: Brown is the new color of metal!
