Artist History
A native of Atchison, Kansas, Carl moved to Houston at the age of 25 and soon learned to appreciate the music that is so uniquely Texan. Carl eventually found himself in the Kerrville music scene, which spawned such talents as Lyle Lovett, Nanci Griffith, Robert Earl Keen, Jr., and many others. It wasn't long before he was writing his own style of Texas music for the world to enjoy. Carl holds down an office job and raises a teenage son, while somehow finding time to write and record his music. He invites you to encourage George Strait to record a few of his songs, so that he can quit the day job! |
